Students can rap and win $5,000 for postsecondary education
Local students have a shot at winning $5,000 towards their postsecondary tuition in a rap video contest about higher education.
The province-wide contest visits St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School (1045 Upper Paradise) on Wednesday, April 1 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Eastgate Square (75 Centennial Parkway North) on Thursday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Students will rap on video about their education goals with the chance to win $5,000 towards their postsecondary education in an online vote of the video performances.
The video contest is part of the Ontario colleges' province-wide advertising campaign promoting options in higher education. Ontario's 24 public colleges have been running advertisements promoting the message "It's all about M.E.", encouraging students to pursue higher education options that best suit their interests and strengths.
